Question #1:
God given talents, more than one right?
I believe in God, and I believe that I was born with a musical ability, plus it runs in the family. But I have this passion to pursue dentistry and although I loved music in high school and did really well in solos and concerts, I just feel like there is more out there for me to do, but I feel really bad for not using this incredible gift at playing my clarinet..I teach lessons on the side, but I feel twisted around because I feel guilty for not wanting to major in music, but a music degree isn't very logical to major in for dental school. I dont really want to study music, I like to play it though. How can I serve God with this talent if I dont get a degree to teach or play it? I like many subjects, even like to play sports sometimes, but music is what I concentrated on in high school.......i feel led to many different areas of degrees in college, like even a nutrition degree. I feel that learning how to have a healthy lifestyle will benefit me as a person and help my relation with Christ and also relates to oral health, which is what i"m especially interested in.Question #2:

Question #14:
Worrying about university in UK? Need some advice please?
Ok well basically I want to study a degree in nutrition, but the one problem is that I have been told I will need biology, but I didn't study biology at A level. I studied for a BND in Sport Science, but not biology. So now I'm kind of stressing out, because I've been told that I would need to do a foundation year in biology, which is basically a year of A level biology. The one problem I have, is that my maths isn't too good, but I'm currently studying for a Level 2 in Lit and Numeracy (equivalent to C in GCSE) But even studying that, I still don't feel that confident that I could go into Biology A level, which will involve maths to a certain degree (and calculus most prob)So basically I've always wanted to study nutrition, but now I've found out about having to do the foundation year I'm kind of confused. I also have 2 other options in mind and they are either Art and Design or Sport Therapy, but Since I didn't do Art at A level either, that would mean that I would have to do a foundation year in Art and Design also.
The other option which is Sport Therapy isn't so bad, but it still will most probably include Biology in that degree aswell. Also it will certainly contain Maths aswell, so now I'm confused as to what to do. The other problem is that I'm 22 in August and If I decide to wait until next sept, then I will be 23 next year and I'll end up being late 20's when I finish, but at the moment I'm really confused.
Any advice would be great, Thanks.

Question #16:

Because i was thinking about going to university to study either nutrition or sport therapy, but now I don't know what to do. I hear from quite a few people that you have to go to uni to be successful, but is that true?? I mean I don't want to get myself into a load of a debt and then ending up not liking it or struggling with the work, and then quitting. I don't want that for myself at all. I really want to gain a degree though and have an opportunity of getting a good job, and having a stable career when I'm older. I'm 21 now, so what should I do!?Question #17:
any good ideas on how we can end obesity?
I awalys have thoughts about how every child should be required to do a year round sport. I think healthier food should be cheaper, i think ppl should only be alowed to go to fast food like once a week, i think kids at school should be taught about nutrition even when they are in elementary school ( and i mean teach them about metabolism, calorie intake, how many cals a body burns a day, i mean i was taught this stuff way too late in life) How can we make this world a healthier place, without turning basically into communist? it is hard to control weight with all this food ( super unhealthy food ) around. I really wish we could be healthier, what are some of your ideas?well the problem is we do have PE at schools and kids are still obese, i was thinking about a sport ( all year round like in the summer when kids sit around and play video games). the most i ever did in PE was a mile run once a month, so i am not sure that would help.
Question #18:

"When i graduate, im moving out and getting a job!" - common words of a teenager highschooler. Many teenagers really start to think abut what they're going to do when they graduate high school
. I love working with children, so i've decided a long time ago to own a nutritional daycare, because children are are fun tobe around , they should be tauht proper nutrition, and children need to stay active.
Children know how o make a dull moment exciting. Children are innocent, and fun to be around. Children are full of life and laughter, and can always make you feel important. Children dont judge people, and are just sweet.
Today, most children just fill up on junk food throughout the day. This is both unhealthy and a bad way of following proper nutrition guidelines. Mydacare will provide healthy snacks and meals. I will have a the children learn the importance of eating healthy, rather than filling up on snack foods. I feel this is a good way to help fight childhood obesity.
Video games, cell phones, and computers are what children today relyon for entertinent. My daycare will have small sports teams, dance, minor gymnastics, ect.. Im not trying to put the children through a hardcore workout, just simple fun and physical activities. Most daycares just put children in a room wwith toys and televiision until their parents pick them up, which is no fun! I think childen would enjoy getting active rather than be locked up in a room all day.
i need one more freaking paragraph and i just cant think! please help!!
well i tried what jenny said and i had a million and 4 brain farts. and then a really big head ache and yeah.. i just cant think to summarize it anymore..
Question #20:
essay on childhood obesity??? long essay, please be willing to read, need help?
America’s Children: The Ugly, Unhealthy, and Obese.Across the United States, American children are a part of the growing number in many health factors. Numerous children are victims of a variety of health problems inflicted by the insufficiency of good nutrition and physical activity. In this new decade, fast, fatty, and sugary, food have become a trend in our society. America’s children are exposed to these foods and unfortunately take part in this diet because their chief providers, parents, present them with this unhealthy diet. Not only do they have an inadequate nutritious diet, they also dearth physical activity in their lives. As parents, they have control over what foods they bring to the household and are the key role models in their children’s lives. Parents should encourage their children to have a nutritious and active lifestyle. Overall, Parents are held responsible for their child’s health.
The amount of families eating fast-food and parents who do not encourage physical activity among their children, is at an all time high. A study made by Katie Bogue, a registered Dietitian found that on average, American families eat out four to five times a week. Another study from Overweight and Physically activity among Children: A Portrait of the States and the Nation 2005 states that a survey that 28.7 percent of children only get less than three days per week of physical activity from ages ten to seventeen, because parents let children spend too much sedentary time. These children do not get enough physical activity due to the lack of parents encouraging physical activity. This reveals a parent’s absent responsibility over their children‘s
health. They apparently are not awake by the fact that their children’s health is possibly at risk. Irresponsible parents need to get out of their deep sleep and be aware of the negative health aspects affecting their children.
Parents can pursue simple steps to prevent their children from eating unhealthy foods and encourage them to eat nutritious foods. First of all, parents can eliminate fast food, and replacing it with fresh homemade meals. A family in Valparaiso, Indianapolis, the Olson family saves about $10 to $15 dollars per meal by eating home cooked meals compared to purchasing food at fast-food restaurants. If eating out is a frequent, parents could chose healthier options at fast-food restaurants. For instance, McDonald’s offers healthy food options including salads, brewed tea, and yogurt parfaits for just $1.00 each. Parents could also purchase healthier food choices by eliminating unhealthy ones, such as ditching the Oreos and buying the 100 calorie-packs by Nabisco. Parents could also purchase a variety of fruits and vegetables, if money is an issue, frozen vegetables and fruits are much cheaper and provide equal nutrients. Buying whole-grain breads, low or non-fat yogurt, and diet soda all contribute highly to a healthier lifestyle. As their main providers for nutrition, parents can make simple changes towards their health for them and their family.
Due to the absence of physical activity in overweight and obese children, parents can inspire their children to be active. Because parents are significant role models in their children’s lives, they too need to be physically active with their children. Parents can play sports or other activities such as soccer, flag football, hide-and-go-seek, tag, bicycling and various forms of physical activity for all ages of children. Parents can even take their children out for walks around their neighborhood, or go jogging with their older children. Parents can even take the whole
family to a local city swimming pool during the summer. There are countless ways for parents and children to be physically active. Having physically active parents enhances a child’s motivation to be active themselves.
Parents are not always to blame when their children are either overweight or obese. Parents do supply moderately healthy foods and execute moderate physically activity upon their children may still be overweight or obese. Reasons for this is related to other major health factors as well. A child may have hypothyroidism, a condition in which a person has a deficiency of the thyroid hormone and is caused by an iodine deficiency, or sporadic inheritance. When someone is diagnosed with hypothyroidism, a person may experience weight gain and even become obese when this condition is handled correctly. However, hypothyroidism can be treated with medication such as Levothyroxine, which is a oral supplementation. It does not matter what factors a child has, virtually all are treatable and it is capable to treat obesity in children with these health problems.
Overall, parents are held responsible for their children’s health. While some children are diagnosed with health problems such as hypothyroidism, there is treatment and it is up to the parents to deal with their child’s
I know it is long, and some of you wont care, but those that do take the time to read, please write as much as you can on what i can change, or fix :)
